Daremo uno sguardo storico alla trigonometria, dalla sua nascita - quali sono state le principali esigenze per lo sviluppo di questa branca della matematica, chi sono state le prime persone a sviluppare questo studio e come alcuni di loro hanno trattato lo studio della trigonometria. Verranno inoltre analizzati alcuni dei principali matematici che hanno contribuito direttamente allo sviluppo della trigonometria.
