As competências são características fundamentais do homem que vão desde aspectos centrais e profundos do indivíduo até aspectos observáveis ​​e modificáveis ​​com certa facilidade e indicam modos de comportamento ou pensamento que generalizam diferentes situações e perduram por um longo período de tempo. Atualmente, toda organização necessita de gestores com competências que lhe permitam ser eficiente individualmente, a fim de alcançar a eficiência gerencial necessária para atingir os objetivos organizacionais. O objetivo deste estudo é determinar as competências gerenciais do gestor na comunicação organizacional da Unidade Educacional Casa Taller Cecilia Mujica do município Independência do estado de Yaracuy. A pesquisa está inserida na Linha de Pesquisa da Universidade Experimental Libertador UPEL Gestão Educacional na agenda Desempenho educacional e competitividade. Será fundamentado na teoria da Ação Comunicativa de Habermas (1987). A estrutura metodológica da referida pesquisa baseou-se em pesquisa de campo descritiva com desenho não experimental.
