Rachepornos sind ein soziales und rechtliches Problem, das mit der Verbreitung digitaler Technologien und sozialer Medien zum Zwecke der Erniedrigung, Erpressung oder Rache entstanden ist und eine schwerwiegende Verletzung der Privatsphäre und der Würde der betroffenen Personen darstellt, die emotionalen Stress, psychologischen Schaden und negative Auswirkungen auf verschiedene Aspekte ihres Lebens wie ihren Ruf, ihre persönlichen Beziehungen und ihre Beschäftigungschancen erleiden müssen. Darüber hinaus kann sie zu einer sekundären Viktimisierung und sozialen Stigmatisierung beitragen.
